'The Healing Power of Vocal Sound'with James D'Angelo

'Living Our Spirituality in Reiki'-A Silent Retreat in the Heart of Snowdonia - with Paul Mitchell

Sound Healing Day with John Cass John’s experience of Sound Healing stems from his attending a number of workshops with James D’Angelo and an intensive course in Spain with Michele Averard and Nestor Kornblum, founders of The Association of Sound Therapy. His intention is to introduce people to different techniques that can be applied in their own lives with a view to building and maintaining harmony within themselves. Every cell in our body, every chakra and each layer of our personal aura vibrates at a certain frequency and the aim of the workshop is to act as a means of tuning up our individual vibration to ensure a sense of balance and well being. The workshop is held in the Yurt, a sacred space with acoustics to match. Each workshop develops in its own way and will involve voice work, singing bowls, drumming, toning of the chakras and organs of the body, laughter and meditation.

Volunteer Meet Helping around the grounds of Snowdonia Retreat varies according to the season and the tasks that need doing. However the list is always very varied and you get to choose what interests you. Perhps you like to work alone to see the results of your labour in creating a new footpath. You may prefer to work as part of a group rebuilding the pond, or you could be gardening, planting trees, cutting down bracken and brambles, building a shed, painting... We do boast fantastic views, great company, and most times a good bonfire. The volunteers to date have been friends and family with varying skills - they might bring their own chainsaws and tools but all that is required is your willingness to muck in whatever the weather. We provide all food and accommodation.

Transformation Game Retreat

For a description of the Transformation Game please see article Transformation Game- a personal experience by Lun Roberts or follow the link to (Findhorn the creators of the Game)

The Game is a board game that has insight, setback, universal feedback and angel cards. It is not competitive, each person works their way through the various levels starting with physical, emotional, mental and ending with spiritual transformation. By choosing your personal focus you start to change that part of your life. The game and the other players all help support you on your exploration. Profound, and very funny at times- expect to be moved!

FORMAT: We normally start Friday night after supper with an introduction and the first stage of clarifying each persons focus for the Game. We arrange the timings on Saturday around what we as a group think will work, but there are usually 2 sessions spent on the Game interspersed by breaks and meals and quiet time alone~ maybe time outside. The Game either ends on Saturday with the review and next step phase on Sunday morning, or things carry over to end on sunday. Experience indicates that each Game is perfect for the people who get drawn to work together. Timing seems to work as if by magic for all concerned. Annette acts as a facilitator who can support individual and group process as well as providing home cooked food.
